Une expérience juste incroyable ! L’équipe est vraiment au top, pour ma première balade à cheval c’était parfait.
Le paysage est magnifique, et cette activité nous permet de découvrir la forêt d’une façon unique à cheval, en plus des informations données.
Une fois revenue, j’ai pu assister à la brosse du cheval, et discuter autour d’un goûter avec un pain à la cannelle, un jus typique finlandais et des petites confiseries.
Vraiment merci, vous avez rendu ma journée exceptionnelle !

My boyfriend planned a trip to Aurora horses for us to propose to me. The stables are near Santa Claus Village, but far away enough to feel complete serenety.

We were greeted by a very kind girl who worked ar the stables. She was preparing our horses and we could walk around and see the other horses while she was doing that. She told us everything about the horses and we could feel that she really loved them. The horses looked very cared for and healthy.

The ride was beautiful under the moonlight. It is just an easy beginner route, only walking. But I was more than happy with that. I am an experienced rider, but I did not come here for an advanced ride. I was really happy to be enjoying the beautiful nature here with the company of the horses.

In the middle of the woods they arranged some beautiful candellights in the snow where my boyfriend proposed to me. He told me afterwards that the people from Aurora Horses were the most helpful and kind people with arranging everything for the proposal.

After the ride we got some delicious hot drinks, sausages, marshmallows and cookies by the fire.

We would recommend everyone to go to these stables if you are looking for an experience with horses and you want to know for sure that the horses are treated properly.

We are very very grateful for the people from Aurora Horses who made our night so special!

Gorgeous Finnhorses! We had a lovely time and the staff was very friendly and kind. It’s a 30 minute horseback ride through the forest and the staff walk in front with the horse. She made a hot glogi for us after with some cookies and chocolate. The dog was so cute as well.

We did a horse sleigh ride with Katri at the beginning of November, and it was the best day activity we did in our trip to Lapland!

We started by arriving at the Aurora Horses stables, where we met Katri, our sleigh driver and the owner of the business. We have watched her prepare the sleigh for our ride, and then we met Herkku, the finnhorse who accompanied us on the sleigh ride, a beautiful white mare with a cute red Christmas hat :D.

We did some pictures with Herkku and started the sleigh ride, which was about 3-4 km, and lasted for around 45 minutes. The landscape was very beautiful, with lots of trees covered by snow. It was very quiet on the road; you could only hear the sound of Herkku’s trop and the bell on her back ringing. It was was a very relaxing sleigh ride, and we enjoyed every minute.

During the ride we also talked with Katri, who told us more about her business, about Herkku, and about finnhorses in general. Katri is very friendly, happy to answer any questions, and you can really feel she loves horses and what she is doing.

After the ride, Katri welcomed us inside a very beautiful small kota, where she started a fire and served us some warm berry juice, cinnamon buns, and cookies.

We really loved this activity and would recommend Aurora Horses if you want to have a great finnhorse experience!

Nice ride in the forrest next to santaclaus village. Friendly horses and very kind owner that is clearely experienced and passionated. We booked the beginnersride while we are expierenced riders (because one of our group was a beginner and we haven't been riding for a while). For us it felt like a short round which was partly on the side of a busy road but if you are not familiar with riding I believe its long enough. They walk with you so it's really save. The horses are calm and don't respond to traffic or snowmobiles passing. We got a warm drink and cookies nd marshmallows with great stories about finn horses after the ride. I would recommend this place.

Vielen Dank an Katri, ihre süße Tochter und ihr super freundliches Team, auf zwei wie auch auf vier Beinen, für diesen unvergesslichen Nachmittag auf der Schlittenfahrt mit Esko und dem anschließenden gemütlichen und tollen Gespräch am Feuer mit heißer Schokolade und Süßigkeiten. Wir hätten uns unseren ersten Tag nicht märchenhafter vorstellen können. Danke für alles und alles Gute für euch und natürlich für Helkky und ihr Fohlen. 🥰

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Ausritt im verschneiten Wald und Maria hat uns einiges über die Pferde und die Region erzählt. Man konnte die Natur wirklich genießen und einfach mal abschalten. Den Pferden geht es augenscheinlich sehr gut und sie werden super gepflegt! Die anschließenden Marshmallows und der Tee in der Kota waren ein toller Abschluss für unseren Urlaub. Lieben Dank!
