I stayed in one of the Aurora cabins for five nights and saw the northern lights twice! Northern Lights Village does a great job making sure you have everything you need. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food choices are excellent! I went in October, so some of the experiences were not available (because there was not enough snow), but I came mainly to see the northern lights. Seeing them from the warmth of the aurora cabin was a real treat. All in all I would highly recommend booking your experience here.

An absolutely amazing complex. It meets all your requirements and is a 10 minute walk into Saariselka if you want to look around. From the collection at the airport through to checking and getting into you hut is seamless. The huts are first class, warms, comfortable and spacious. The experiences on offer are well prepared and executed. Lights tours, husky dogs, likes, history tours.....all well done. The restaurant and staff are second to none. Delicious meals, service with a smile and enjoy a night cap in front of the fire. Recommended 100%.

From the time we were picked up to the hotel, it has been a fantastic experience. The reception person, Denzel, is pleasant, warm and welcoming. Throughout our stay, those at the reception are helpful and friendly. The cabin is well kept and looks new. Everything works well. The glass panel looks into the open skies to look at the stars and the aurora. Although autumn activities are different from winter, they are enjoyable. On the 3rd night, we are treated to a spectacular display of the Northern Lights at the bridge next to the Russian border. Pedro, our guide and photographer, did a great job to take photos for us with his professional camera. The huskies safari, the reindeer paddock and the excursion to the Siida museum were good. We loved the food at the restaurant, at breakfast, lunch and dinner. We highly recommend staying with full board at Northern Lights Village.

What an incredible place to witness the northern lights. All the staff was very helpful and friendly, especially Pedro, Gustavo, and Miguel. We were lucky to see the lights in autumn, and despite occasional clouds and rain, it worked out perfectly. My only critique is the food, but I understand how difficult it is to cater to everyone at the resort in such a remote location. The wait staff was able to make some fantastic cocktails and coffee drinks. Highly recommend!

We stayed here for 3 nights with full board. From the check-in to the different activties, the staff and the guides are friendly. They provide an excellent experience. Please note that Autumn activities are not the same as winter. We went for Aurora hunting for 3 nights. The first 2 were unsuccessful although we saw the lights in the Village itself. On the 3rd night, we were treated to a spectacular Northern Lights display in the skies above the lake near the Russian border. This is amazing. The food fit breakfast, lunch and dinner are delicious. Coffee and tea are available at the restaurant thr
throughout the day. I fully recommend this place.

We stayed here in January 2025 and our trip was amazing. Spellbinding and magical, like a visit to Narnia.||We did the 3 night Romantic Aurora Escape Package. Our cabin was at the edge of the forest, allowing complete privacy. The cabin was just amazing, cosy and warm with stunning snow filed views. We were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights in all their glory on the first night. ||The Northern Lights app alarm system is great, but we did deactivate in in the end, as we had already seen the lights and it was waking us up every few hours with rather insipid “possible” sightings where we rushed outside and saw nothing, and we wanted to sleep in the end. You can deactivate it, so you have the choice. ||Our check in experience wasn’t great, as lots of people arrived at the same time – it was quite chaotic and the staff were not friendly, so we were initially concerned, but after the rush dissipated we did get checked in and everything was fine in the end. |The staff were actually very nice overall, helpful and pleasant for the rest of the stay. ||The restaurant was great – food was tasty, it was open most of the time to allow you to eat at random times around your activities, and there was an excellent variety. |The clothes/kit they gave you were superb – but they did take a long time to get on and off. It was so cold out there you needed all the kit on just to walk to breakfast! You do need to leave yourself 10-15 mins just to get into all your kit! We were late for our first activity as I did not counter for this, so leave extra time! ||The activities were all just fabulous, except for the snowmobile safari, which, at 3 hours long in -28 was just too cold. I went on the back of the snowmobile, which I found out later was far colder than the front, and I was actually getting concerned about my welfare as I got so cold. The helmets just iced up inside so you could not see at all and the cold was insane. An hour would have been more than enough. |The reindeer ride and talk was awesome, the husky experience was spectacular and so much fun. The romantic sleigh ride and dinner in the teepee was just wonderful and getting to try reindeer steak and cheese cooked for us on a one to one basis was very special. The sauna experience was fab too. ||This trip was am amazing experience overall – really top notch with very little to fault here. It was a real bucket list thing for me. I would love to come here again, but I’d give the 3 hour snowmobile trip a miss (unless it was warmer) or see if there was a shorter option, and see if it was possible to do a longer husky experience instead as we’d have loved more of that.

It was an amazing experience. Since the first email sent until the last day, the staff were incredible and the place was stunning. |We went as a family of 4 (two kids under 3 years old) and the place was great for us. One of the staff members even called us to let us know that there were reindeer so we could come see them. ||Definitely recommend it. ||We were able to do some 1,5h excursions by ourselves and it was totally worth it!

Didn't stay at the resort. Had the huskies safari and lunch here. Huskies are so lively and friendly, especially the 3 month baby ones. This time of year no snow sled so the huskies are pulling a jeep instead Food is quite good.
